Dean Cecile A. Feldman showed her appreciation of long-time RSDM employees last month by honoring more than 60 who celebrated five-year work anniversaries.

“Who we are is all about who you are,’’ she said at her annual service recognition luncheon. “Day in and day out, the great work that’s done here is because of you.’’

The ceremony is held to recognize staff and faculty who have been at RSDM at least five years and are marking a five-year anniversary.

In 2015, the employee who logged the most years was Dr. Peter Kudyba, a Clinical Professor in Restorative Dentistry, who has taught at RSDM for 55 years and graduated from the dental school’s first class in 1960.

Another notable milestone was the 25-year anniversary of staff and faculty at the University Dental Center in Somerdale, which was founded in 1990, when staff were still using pencils and paper to book appointments.

Founding staff members at Somerdale are Michele Randolph, Secretary I; Lydia Lambersky, Office Manager; Irene Ruiz,Manager of Extra Mural Clinics and Joanne Zappasodi, who is now a dental assistant at RSDM’s University Dental Center at Galloway.
