No More Fears: Scholarship Recipient Shares Tips on Putting Patients At Ease

In 2018, 61 students received scholarships from 38 donors. This year, RSDM kicked off the year-long Chancellor’s Challenge, which offers matching funds for all donors. Gifts benefit students like Jonathan Matute, who was awarded the Professionalism Scholarship last year. The scholarship is funded by Alumni and Friends of RSDM. Faculty Alumnus Creates Endowed Scholarship for Student Mentors

Scholarship Winner is Father, Volunteer and Student Dentist

During his first two years at RSDM, Steven Vassell worked as a landscaper to support his wife and two children, volunteered at a soup kitchen and served as a deacon of his church. He was grateful to receive the Theodore E. Bolden, DDS scholarship in November, which made things easier – and has also become a source of inspiration.
