Message from Dean Feldman on the Aftermath of George Floyd’s Death

Last week I watched in horror as police brutality resulted in the tragic loss of a human life. George Floyd had a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, and friends. I can’t imagine what they are going through right now, but know that many of you are equally horrified, feel a grave sense of loss, and believe that yet another incident of ongoing racial bias has led us to where we are today.

Oral Surgery Residents Volunteer to Treat Hospital Patients During COVID-19 Peak

As oral surgery residents at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Roman Mogilevsky and Christina Gory never expected to be treating critically ill patients during a global pandemic. But when University Hospital faced a staff shortage during the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak, they were among a group of fellow residents who volunteered for shifts in the Emergency Department.

International DMD Students Navigate the Start of Dental School During COVID-19

For students in RSDM’s internationally trained DMD program, the first semester of dental school is a chance to bond with fellow classmates and immerse themselves in American dentistry. But dental school began very differently for the 37 internationally trained dental students who arrived here at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
